Description

We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our client's team in the Lawrenceville, New Jersey area. In this role, you will focus on managing collections processes with an emphasis on Medicare or Medicaid accounts. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a non-profit organization while advancing your expertise in financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage collections processes for Medicare or Medicaid accounts, ensuring timely and accurate follow-ups.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing and payments to maintain accurate records.

• Utilize accounting software and CRM tools to track and document collection activities.

• Collaborate with internal departments to address and resolve claim administration issues.

• Respond to inbound calls and inquiries related to outstanding accounts and payment arrangements.

• Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports to monitor collection trends.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies.

• Assist in the implementation or optimization of systems related to billing and collections.

• Provide exceptional customer service to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Previous experience in collections, specifically with Medicare or Medicaid accounts.

• A degree in a related field is a plus.

• Proficiency in using accounting software, CRM systems, and tools like Epic Software or Accurint.

• Strong understanding of billing functions and claim administration processes.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for responding to inquiries and resolving issues.

• Ability to analyze data and generate reports related to accounts receivable and collections.

• Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations in the healthcare or non-profit sector.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
