We are seeking a Systems Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience in Desktop Support
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional technical support and ensure seamless operation of desktop systems. This role involves day shifts and does not require travel.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive desktop support to ensure smooth and efficient operation of all desktop systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Install configure and maintain desktop systems and applications to meet user needs.
Collaborate with other IT team members to implement and maintain system updates and patches.
Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to ensure optimal functionality.
Assist users with technical issues and provide training on system usage and best practices.
Maintain accurate documentation of support activities system configurations and user requests.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to IT systems and security.
Participate in the development and implementation of IT projects and initiatives.
Provide input on system improvements and contribute to the continuous enhancement of IT services.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
Communicate effectively with users and team members to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Support remote users by providing timely and effective technical assistance.
Qualifications
Possess a strong background in desktop support with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
Exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills.
Show ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid remote work environment.
Have experience with system installation configuration and maintenance.
Display knowledge of IT policies procedures and security best practices.
Certifications Required
CompTIA A+ Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
**Salary and Other Compensation** :
The annual salary for this position is between $37,800 - $68,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
