Lead Java Developer (Agile) Hybrid

We are looking for a highly skilled **Lead Java Developer (Agile) Hybrid** to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Portlets JSP and Struts along with domain expertise in Pharmacy Benefit Management. This is a hybrid role with day shifts and no travel requirements.

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Responsibilities

+ 10+ years of experience Hands on in backend and front end technologies

+ Develop and maintain web applications using Java Struts 6.7 JSP and associated technologies.

+ Design and implement user interfaces using JSP and Struts taglibs (e.g. html bean logic).

+ Write clean well-documented and maintainable Java code.

+ Participate in code reviews and supply to the teams technical knowledge base.

+ Collaborate with other developers designers and product managers to ensure successful application development.

+ Solve and resolve technical issues related to web applications.

+ Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure the quality of the code.

+ Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and standard processes in web application development.

+ Supply to the design and architecture of web applications.

+ Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups.

Qualifications

+ Use Agile methodologies for software development.

+ Work with databases (e.g. MySQL Oracle SQL Server) and SQL.

+ Hands on experience in developing Mockito test cases and code coverage

+ Ability to lead high-performance software development teams.

+ Experience in working both independently as well as part of a multi-functional team.

+ Ability to mentor and coach junior members of the team.

+ Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

+ Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 to $141,00 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
