As an Assistant Residence Manager, you will have a key role in supporting our residential team and assisting individuals in achieving their goals and independence.

     

    What You’ll Do:• 🏡 Residence Supervision:Assume responsibility for the residence in the absence of the Residence Manager, ensuring safety and compliance.• 👥 Staff Supervision & Training:Assist in orienting, supervising, and evaluating Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensuring they follow proper procedures.• 📝 Incident Reporting:Follow appropriate 624 procedures for reporting incidents and ensure proper documentation.• 💼 Staff Scheduling & Payroll:Schedule staff coverage, verify time worked, and review time sheets and overtime records.• 🧳 Support & Transportation:Accompany individuals on appointments and activities, helping teach daily living skills and assisting DSPs in doing the same.• 🏠 Facility Maintenance:Assist with the upkeep of the residence and ensure the proper functioning of the physical plant, furnishings, and appliances.• 💊 Medication Administration:Administer and verify the distribution of medication, maintaining accurate medication records (AMAP ledgers).• 📋 Documentation & Reporting:Ensure proper documentation of activities, incidents, and other required reports, including daily logs, activity sheets, and trip evaluations.• 🔥 Emergency Procedures & Safety:Conduct fire drills and emergency evacuation procedures, ensuring that both staff and individuals are prepared for emergencies.• 🧑‍🏫 Training & Development:Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and required certification programs.• 🧹 Cleanliness & Upkeep:Ensure the residence and grounds are kept clean and well-maintained.• 🤝 Team Collaboration:Work alongside clinical support staff (nurses, therapists, psychologists) to provide individualized care and support.

     

    What We’re Looking For:• ✅ Education:High School Diploma or GED required.• ✅ Experience:Experience in a supervisory or direct care role, ideally working with individuals with developmental disabilities.• ✅ Skills:Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.• ✅ Licensing/Certifications:Must maintain AMAP Certification for administering medication, and be able to pass all required training (CPR, SCIP, etc.).• ✅ Regulatory Knowledge:Knowledge of OPWDD regulations, abuse and neglect policies, and agency procedures.

     

    • ✅ Valid NY State Driver’s License (6 points or less) and the ability to drive a 15-passenger van.• ✅ Vaccination:Must be fully vaccinated (COVID-19).• ✅ Other:Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to meet the operational needs of the residence.

    Job Details: 📍 Primary Locations:Bronx, NY & Westchester County

    • Schedule: Full-Time 40HRS with on-call availability for emergencies.
