    Robert Half is seeking a well-rounded Network and Security Engineer with solid hands-on experience across networking, systems administration, and cybersecurity. This is a hybrid role based in the Galleria area and is ideal for someone who thrives in a small-office environment, wearing multiple hats and taking ownership across infrastructure operations.     Core Responsibilities:

    + Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco routers and switches

    + Configure and manage Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) for perimeter and internal network security

    + Support and administer Windows Server environments and VMware vSphere

    + Manage Microsoft Active Directory, including Group Policy, DNS, and scripting

    + Administer and support tools such as Ivanti Pulse Secure, CrowdStrike Falcon, Symantec Anti-Malware, and DUO MFA

    + Perform vulnerability assessments and contribute to remediation planning

    + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support IT operations and enforce security best practices

    + Provide both proactive maintenance and responsive support across systems and network layers

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    + Proven experience with Cisco R/S, Palo Alto firewalls, and core networking concepts

    + Strong background in Windows Server administration and VMware infrastructure

    + Hands-on experience with Active Directory, GPOs, and scripting

    + Familiarity with endpoint protection and secure remote access tools

    + Exposure to vulnerability analysis and risk remediation

    + Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience

    Preferred Skills:

    + Experience in small to mid-sized office environments

    + Ability to act as a jack-of-all-trades with a focus on infrastructure and security

    + Self-starter with a proactive and collaborative approach
