Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Analyst to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in high-volume, multi-state payroll processing and a strong understanding of payroll compliance regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for a large workforce across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

• Maintain compliance with all government regulations related to payroll, including unemployment, short-term disability, and garnishments.

• Develop and enforce policies regarding payroll advancements and garnishments.

• Prepare and submit required government reports in a timely manner.

• Reconcile payroll sub-ledgers with the general ledger and prepare relevant accruals.

• Support the team by providing backup coverage for other payroll analysts as needed.

• Utilize advanced features of Microsoft Excel, such as pivot tables and V-lookups, to analyze payroll data.

• Assist with payroll system conversions and provide insights to improve payroll processes. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• A minimum of 8 years of payroll experience in mid-to-large sized organizations.

• Strong background in financial accounting and payroll operations.

• In-depth knowledge of payroll laws and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency with Oracle Payroll or other large-scale payroll systems.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and V-lookup functions.

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

• Experience with payroll system transitions is highly preferred.
