    Description:

    As a ME or EE Intern at LGESMI you will working directly with our team of Engineers and will be working on projects that will offer the opportunity to learn general battery production process; understand battery materials – strength and composition.

    Responsibilities : At LGESMI you will working directly with our Product Engineers and will be working on projects that include:

    + Work closely with engineers in our Advanced Automotive Battery Division on product enhancement and new product development

    + Interface with team members in the plant and office, as well as external suppliers, contractors, etc.

    + Evaluate existing procedures for opportunities to improve product design and manufacturability

    + Participate in Continuous Improvement projects

    + Develop procedures, forms, checklists, and schedules to support process development and improvement

    + Research new technologies, equipment, supplies to help improve the operation

    Qualifications:

    + Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering -Junior or Senior standing

    + Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 GPA or higher

    + Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation

    + Ability to be flexible and adapt to new tasks and projects

    + Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills

    + Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goals
