General Responsibilities

• Ensure company resources are most profitably utilized and assigned to customer orders in a way that keeps company commitments to customers and drivers • Daily planning and utilization of local drivers/trucks. • Accurately enters information into the company computer systems • Maintains direct contact with members of the organization to coordinate and increase the efficiency of driver, truck, and trailer assignments • Supervises Local Drivers. • Manage trailers in the area, including rotating them, reporting broken-down trailers to risk/shop, and recovering idling/lost/repaired trailers. • Communicate effectively with the customer service team on delays, inaccurate computer data, and push for accessories. • Identify trailer detention opportunities to equipment control • Assists the local P&D supervisor as directed; other duties may be assigned. • Bill shipments pursuant to applicable tariffs and pricing agreements • Recognize and resolve documentation errors • Assist customers with inquiries, including tracing shipments, rate quotes, tariff discrepancies, and billing and invoicing questions • Perform general clerical duties as assigned, including answering and directing phone calls, filing, data entry, and billing • Process over, short, and damaged freight and related documentation for customer resolution • Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them in the assigned places • Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies • Transport raw materials to production workstations • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance • Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment in the facilities

Requirements

Minimum Requirements o High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency o Basic computer skills o Detail oriented o Thrive in a fast-paced environment o Excel both as an individual and in a team environment. o Excellent communication skills – written and verbal o Professional, driven and results oriented o LTL, Local , and Linehaul Knowledge o Excellent time management o Deadline driven thorough knowledge of the LTL and Linehaul o Works well with team and alone o Strong Knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate area.
