• Lead HVAC/BAS Field Service Technician

    As a Lead HVAC/BAS Field Service Technician  and part of the Service team here at Honeywell, you will be tasked with the supervision of installation and service of systems that will include, BAS/DDC, security, access controls, in a commercial, educational, construction and or retrofit environment. You will be expected to perform testing and start-up support functions across a wide range of electronic Security/ Direct Digital Controls (DDC)/ Building Automation Systems (BAS), which will include proprietary software packages.

     

    You will report directly to our Field Service Manager.

     

    **Must reside within 150 miles of the Honeywell Louisville, KY site (9901 Linn Station Road, Louisville, KY 40223).

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Install, maintain, and repair various fire safety systems

    + Program, troubleshoot, and maintain building automation systems to ensure optimal operating efficiency

    + Conduct regular system diagnostics to prevent potential issues through predictive maintenance

    + Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate fire safety and BAS solutions

    + Provide training and support to junior technicians and other team members

    + Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards

    + Document all service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records

    + Ability to work weekends and be on-call for customers

    + Company vehicle will be provided to travel to customer sites

    + Travel: Up to 15%

    MUST HAVES

    + 3+ years of related DDC/BAS/HVAC systems experience

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

    + Effective communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

     

    Excellent customer service skills with experience in technical phone or onsite customer support including good interpersonal communication skills

     

    + Valid driver’s license and safe driving record ability to pass background check

    WE VALUE

    + Technical Diploma or Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or related field

    + Knowledge of DDC/BAS, HVAC, fire alarms, smoke control and/or security systems

    + Experience with systems that involve advanced solutions such as Honeywell Front End Computers such as EBI, Tridium N4, Honeywell XLS1000 and XLS3000, Edwards and Notifier fire alarm system and other technologies for building DDC, fire alarm and security solutions

    + Building Networks infrastructure knowledge (wiring, CAT, Cables, Fiber optics etc.)

    + Understanding of typical communication topologies is important

    + Strong computer, software and network skills, and knowledge are necessary for this position

    + Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
