    The Opportunity

    • We’re looking for people interested in claim salvage and who are focused on helping our customers while maintaining Ally’s interest. You will be responsible for the investigation, valuation, establishment of exposure, negotiation and settlement property and casualty salvage registers within a predetermined settlement authority. Ensures that all assigned registers are concluded promptly, equitably and economically within the provisions of the policy contract and in accordance with the policy.     The Work Itself

    * · Handles intake of salvage referrals and theft recoveries, completing the entire sale process, including collection of all invoices related to the sale

    * · Conducts investigations independently and at the direction of management utilizing sound investigative procedures to control costs

    * · Negotiates settlement of salvage vehicles while following established, authorized settlement authority.

    * · Handle high profile files that may involve interacting with management, legal counsel, or other legal entities.

    * · Handles questions as needed.

    * · Maintain a complete and thoroughly documented salvage file ensuring registers are properly documented and all supporting documents are attached.

    * · Uses compassionate communication and persuasive negotiation to ensure a positive customer experience.

    * · Work closely with the claim adjusters to ensure accurate and timely claim handling.

    * · Identify salvage situations in a timely manner to protect the interests of the Corporation and request documents needed to process files.

    * · Handles all registers within the guidelines of the state’s Fair Claims Practices Acts and other Regulations to ensure compliance while also ensuring timeliness and KPIs are being met.

    * · Maintain an up-to-date diary

    The Skills You Bring

    * HS diploma or equivalent required. Associate / Bachelor's degree in business related discipline preferred.

    * · Prior salvage experience preferred.

    * · The ability to take detail statements and demonstrate the ability to interpret and apply written coverage accurately to establish claim and determine an action plan

    * · Ability to resolve conflicts and treat customers in a courteous, friendly and professional manner.

    * · Demonstrate an understanding of insurance law as it relates to salvage

    * · High degree of analytical, negotiation and organizational skills

    * · Typically requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.

    * · 1+ years in customer service or financial services industry is required.

    * · Leveraging technical expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results.
