About this Role

W. T. Byler is a leading Site, Civil, Industrial and Railroad turnkey company, with over 52 years of experience. The Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination of engineering, estimating, project controls, client presentations, procurement, and construction activities during the development and execution phase(s) of the project.

What You'll Do

+ Coordinates engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction activities during the development and execution phase(s) of the project

+ Oversee the development of the initial project schedule in conjunction with engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction management personnel

+ Participates in value engineering and constructability reviews

+ Works with procurement to develop subcontractor and vendor scopes of work and schedules exhibits to the contracts for review by PM before processing

+ Works with the appropriate Safety personnel on all safety-related issues, including but not limited to, development and implementation of the project-specific safety plan, reporting of incidents, and supporting the investigation of incidents

+ Oversee the project schedule and prepare monthly project review reports for the project management team and Senior Management

+ Assists with RFI submittals utilizing QISG’s document management system

+ Provides feedback to improve Quality of all technical, commercial, and administrative deliverables for projects

+ Assists in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages

+ Facilitates Project Close-Out and Warranty administration

+ Performs post-construction cost review and reporting and participates in lessons learned

What You'll Bring

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or equivalent field work/experience, OR combination of work and education, may be substituted

+ 5+ years of Construction Project Management experience, preferably in heavy civil construction or railroad projects

+ Additional experience in various aspects of construction planning and management including, but not limited to engineering, estimating, bidding, preparing, and administering purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, cost control, document control, etc.

+ Prior working experience or strong knowledge in site work, underground, asphalt, concrete and/or railroad construction

+ Required experience with Bluebeam, HCSS/HeavyBid, Cost Control estimating software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

+ Understanding of integrated EPC process

+ Strong organizational and time management skills

+ Travel Up to 20% or as project needs require
