Information Developer

The Information Developer is a key contributor to the creation of high-quality product documentation, multimedia content, online help systems, and in-product assistance. This role is integral to successful product launches and plays a strategic part in enhancing the overall user experience and value of Omnicell’s solutions.
Responsibilities
+ Author topic-based content using DITA authoring tools to create single-source output
+ Participate with product development teams and subject matter experts to obtain information to develop product documentation and help
+ Collaborate with team members to employ authoring strategies and deliver on content plans
+ Continuously develop product expertise to thoroughly understand the needs of different audience groups and how users relate and interact with Omnicell products
+ Participate actively in engineering planning and development activities and manage backlog items that relate to Information Development
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to schedule, develop, and validate deliverables
+ Engage in peer reviews of content for other information developers
+ Ensure company quality standards and customer experience goals are met for each audience type
Required Knowledge and Skills
+ Demonstrated writing proficiency and verbal communication skills
+ Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
+ Understanding of the Agile development environment
Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree with three or more years of experience in information development, technical writing, or creating and revising content for multiple audiences
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
+ Experience with technical writing for software and/or hardware technology products
+ Entry-level (working) understanding of the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) mark-up language
+ Familiarity with online and on-product content solutions
+ Familiarity with industry authoring tools, for example Oxygen, Madcap Flare, Arbortext, or Heretto
+ Familiarity with common content creation tools such as Adobe Acrobat (Pro), FrameMaker, Photoshop, Captivate, and MS Office Suite
Work Conditions
+ Hybrid / Office environment
+ Up to 15% domestic travel

+ Legally authorized to work in the United States without Omnicell sponsorship now or in the future
+ Ability to pass background and employment verification checks
+ Able to work from assigned location (Cranberry, PA) without housing or relocation assistance from Omnicell
