    + $0.71 CPM, $18.00 Stop bonus (After 2nd stop)

    + Short trip bonus of $75 for trips under 450 miles

    + Home weekly

    + Mix of live unloads, drop, and hook, and 99 % no touch freight

    + Out and Back Loads.

    Job Description

    As an OTR Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating company-owned and leased tractors and trailers to facilitate shipping and receiving operations. Your role will include checking delivery schedules, obeying all traffic laws and DOT safety rules, and ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations is essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Check delivery schedule and receive assignment from supervisor.

    + Operate company-owned and leased tractors and trailers to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.

    + Obey all traffic laws and DOT safety rules.

    + Connect and disconnect semi-trailers and hoses properly.

    + Back trailers into dock or unloading area as instructed by the customer.

    + Unload product to dock or as per customer’s instructions.

    + Make customer deliveries safely and on time.

    + Perform outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.

    + Perform required before, during, and after trip inspections and complete required paperwork.

    + Report all deficiencies found to the Shipping Clerk.

    + Complete daily logs, keeping them current and accurate, and turn them in weekly.

    + Call in daily to update the traffic manager on current status.

    Essential Skills

    + Valid CDL.

    + 2 years of experience as a truck driver.

    + Must have a complete DOT file on record per company policy.

    + Pass a DOT physical prior to hire and annually thereafter.

    + Trained (licensed) in the safe operation of tractors and trailers.

    + Familiarity with and ability to interpret packing slips and loading tallies.

    + Knowledge of DOT and Motor Vehicle laws and regulations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to travel, with overnight stays away from home as required.

    + Ability to follow directions as laid out on daily trip report.

    + Familiarity with proper loading techniques and procedures for our industry.

    + Experience with common material handling equipment such as forklifts, badgers, and hand carts.

    We offer competitive pay including $.08 per mile for backhauls, a short trip bonus of $75 for trips under 450 miles, and $18 per stop after two stops. Additionally, if you experience downtime due to breakdowns, detention time, or other issues, you will receive $17 per hour after two hours. Enjoy flexible time off, loads permitting.

     

    Work Environment

     

    You will primarily travel within the Midwest, North Carolina, and occasionally to Colorado and Florida. The role requires adherence to all DOT and Motor Vehicle laws and company safety rules. You must be comfortable with potentially requiring overnight stays away from home.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
