    Overview

     

    We are seeking production workers for steel processing. As a General Production Worker, you will perform secondary functions in the fabrication department on steel sheets, including grinding, inspection, rework, and bending. This is a physical job that requires the ability to lift 50 lbs and flexibility to assist machine operators when needed. Schedules are Monday through Thursday (Overtime Fridays) 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM - **Train on 1st until ready (6 AM to 4:30 PM).**

    Responsibilities

    + Perform grinding, inspection, rework, and bending on steel sheets.

    + Assist machine operators when there are no sheets to process.

    + Maintain production of the glass line, ensuring material moves efficiently down the line.

    + Hang steel material, offload steel, inspect, and then stack the materials.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.

    + Experience with production work, inspection, and machine operation.

    + General labor and production experience.

    + Ability to load and offload materials.

    + Proficiency with hand and power tools.

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs.

    + Steel industry experience.

    + Blueprint reading and machine operating skills are a plus.

    Work Environment & Shifts Available

     

    The job is based in a large manufacturing plant environment with typical exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with heavy machinery. Work hours are Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays. **The shift runs from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM, but training will be on the first shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM for 60-90 days, depending on the individual.** The work environment is dynamic and may require schedule changes with prior notice from management.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $19.80/hr.
