Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal and/or a Project Manager, performing the following tasks:

+ Performs moderately complex case and legal research

+ Summarizes deposition transcripts

+ Reviews case related materials and identifies potentially conflicting statements or areas requiring further investigation

+ Writes preliminary drafts of simple legal memoranda and correspondence

+ Input information into, and assist attorneys with the use of, CaseMap and TimeMap

+ Create and maintain witness files

+ Organize and maintain case files

+ Conduct searches in PACER, as well as through other court filing sources

Required Qualifications:

+ Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

+ Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study, or an equivalent level of legal training or experience; or an equivalent level of education may be substituted

+ Additionally at least two years of litigation paralegal experience or project experience (as related to the task order) is required; trial experience very helpful.

+ At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.

+ Requires a highly trustworthy employee to handle information and case details for highly sensitive series of cases.

+ Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.

+ Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.

+ Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.

+ Role also requires hands-on familiarity with eDiscovery tools (e.g. Relativity).

+ Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience with various trial software (e.g.TrialDirector)

+ Experience with CaseMap and TimeMap
