BluePearl** **Pet Hospital in Lewisville, TX,** **is hiring an extraordinary Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician!** ** 

A BluePearl Oncology Technician is someone who is self-motivated, a quick thinker, and is able to multi-task efficiently. Good communication skills and compassion are a must. Prefer to have a minimum of two or more years’ experience in a specialty veterinary hospital. The right candidate will be responsible for treating and monitoring patients as well as supporting the clinician with patient care and client communication.

As an** **Internal Medicine** **Veterinary** **Technician,** **you will:

+ Set up constant rateinfusions(CRI).

+ Calculate all medical math.

+ Induce, monitor and recoveranesthesia

+ Performphlebotomyand place intravenouscathetersin all peripheral veins.

+ Administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.

+ Set up and assist with ultrasound andradiologyprocedures.

+ Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures(GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedure.

+ DischargeInternal Medicinepatients from the hospital, including basicclient educationsuch as insulin injection, SQ fluid and feeding tube demonstrations.

+ Set up and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures which may include:

+ Joint Taps

+ Body cavity centesis (thoracocentesis,pericardiocentesis, abdominocentesis)

+ Bone marrow biopsy and aspirates

+ Needle aspirates

+ Laparoscopicor ultrasound guided biopsies
