Overview ... Job Title: Project Engineer Reporting To: Head of Projects, UK Location: Proseal UK (secondment to Proseal US) Shift Pattern/Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with a 30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day and two paid 15 minutes per day. Job Summary The role of Project Engineer will be to plan, execute, monitor and control high-value, technical projects. Duties include setting deadlines, providing feedback, and communicating with clients about the status of their project. The Opportunity ... Key Tasks and Accountabilities Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders Oversee projects from specification through to installation, commissioning, and training of the team Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion Track project milestones and deliverables against budget Gain a full and comprehensive knowledge of the inner workings of the UK and US planning board, this will include understanding product entries at the planning stage, manufacturing capabilities based on current machinery lead-times, eBOM parts lists, department responsibilities and understanding the importance of concise delivery instruction and planning. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the plan and escalate a required. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans Maintain a close working communication with the key contacts within Proseal America in order to provide the best possible ‘experience’ of customer-supplier relationship. Machine Testing – Operate a pivotal role in providing the business with a well-documented testing procedure for all relevant machinery in preparation for customer’s site. For comprehensive testing the applicant must have, or be working towards, a broad and wide-ranging knowledge of the Proseal machinery fleet. An understanding of ELV control techniques and process flow is also essential. Job Requirements Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities Ability to work in a team environment Able to work under pressure and deliver results to a defined deadline Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Projects, etc) Financial Management familiarity Logical and analytical Demonstrate a high degree of reliability, flexibility, and self-motivation Maintain a positive outlook within the Proseal working environment. The candidate should be well placed to assist less experienced members of staff with strong technical knowledge and insight.
