Essential Functions:

+ Unloads, receives, and verifies counts of all incoming materials into computer system.

+ Performs required incoming inspection to ensure all incoming materials meet quality specifications.

+ Stocks received materials.

+ Kits materials in advance of production requests so material is ready in short notice.

+ Issues required materials to jobs in computer system and distributes to production personnel.

+ Distributes non-production goods to requester.

+ Identifies and documents non-conforming products.

+ Responsible for thread, web, and hardware storage procedures.

+ Performs physical inventory counts and informs Buyer of any necessary quantity adjustments.

+ Contacts Vendors confirming upcoming scheduled deliveries, and status of late deliveries.

+ Maintains a neat and clean work area.

+ All Team Members of Sturges shall know and understand all safety, human resource, and quality policies, including the procedures, work instructions applicable to their position, and how their goals relate to the success of the company.

Education & Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma/GED required.

+ Receiving/inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

+ Ability to interpret engineered drawings.

+ Must be computer proficient; knowledge of Material Requirement Planning systems preferred.

+ Basic math skills.

+ Knowledge of use of measuring devices.

+ Must be able to distinguish between colors

+ Strong team player.

+ This position is deemed a safety sensitive position always requiring alertness.

+ Able to read, write and fluently communicate in English.
