    What you will do

    About the Position

    As an Industrial Engineer - Internal Material Control you will support both production and logistics areas by securing and continuously improving the current processes for supply chain and assembly. You will also be designing the future of the factory by participating in exciting projects we are running.

    Main activities and responsibilities for these roles:

    • Experience and skill in designing, analyzing and improving production flows based lean manufacturing concepts

    • Understanding of best practices and methodologies when it comes to internal material flow design

    • Understanding of production systems regarding inventory control and financial accounting related to it

    • Define strategies that improve material availability at point of use for production as well as manpower workload balancing

    • Resulting in increased logistics performance and decreased logistics cost

    • Experience with the Production System concepts and development – IE: Toyota production system / concepts

    • Including continuous improvement and standard tools such as Kaizen.

    • Experience with creation and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators and automated dashboard design tools – IE: PowerBI, Excel, QlikView

    • Able to lead development and creation of advanced reports that govern large financial decisions made in both the day to day and long term

    • Advanced understanding and skills in data modeling software and Microsoft suite tools

    • Experience in taking large amounts of data from various systems to analyze and construct tools to run manufacturing processes

    • Understanding of best practices when it comes to industrial design for production and assembly processes – IE: WPO and Lean concepts such as 5s

    • Strong understanding of external logistics concepts when it comes to material demand planning to ensure proper logistics setup on a part basis

    • Experience with packaging structure and its interaction with global supply chain and station layout

    • Experience in modeling software like CAD or equivalent

    • Good experience with all above skills and the ability to interact and articulate these concepts both to leadership and shop floor bargaining unit technicians

    • Strong communication, planning, organization, and visualization/presentation skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, or Equivalent

    • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
