ABOUT JOHN JAY COLLEGE

POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Academic SEEK Program Manager, duties will include:
+ Provide assistance to faculty, staff, and students in utilizing educational software, systems, and applications.
+ Train staff on computer system usage and offer hands-on support.
+ Support educators in integrating instructional technology to enhance their educational goals.
+ Develop and design brochures, flyers, and posters for the SEEK Department.
+ Update visual displays with departmental announcements.
+ Design and create FAQ brochures for incoming freshman and transfer students.
+ Create training guides in both online and printed formats for platforms such as Brightspace, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other department-related tools.
+ Maintain and update content on the departmental website.
+ Collaborate with departmental staff to implement new technology initiatives.
+ Manage the distribution and maintenance of laptops and iPads for students.
+ Collect, analyze, and prepare datasets for departmental reports.
+ Distribute important announcements to students, faculty, and staff within the department.
+ Oversee departmental events within the event reservation system.
+ Report directly to the Associate Director within the SEEK Department.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.

Provides support to students and faculty in the use of instructional systems, software, and programs.
- Researches and prepares program materials, FAQs, and user guides
- Provides telephone and/or email support for faculty and student users of instructional systems, software, and programs
- Develops training materials and delivers orientation/training sessions
- Maintains on-line information on web sites
- Acts as liaison to related areas such as CUNY's Computer and Information Services area, to evaluate and escalate reported problems, and disseminate information notices
- Assists faculty with use of instructional technology to support educational goals
- Performs other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$60,394 - $65,946
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 6.09% with additional increases of 3.25% effective 9/1/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
