POSITION DETAILS
The Academic Program Coordinator, CUNY Explorers, will report to the Academic College Now Manager and will support the development, implementation, and oversight of the initiative at Hunter College. The Program Coordinator will supervise Campus Visit Guides to provide an educational experience for a cohort of visiting 6th-10th graders and their chaperones.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Academic Program Coordinator, CUNY Explorers, will be responsible for the following duties:
+ InconjunctionwiththeCentralOfficeprogramteamandDOEstaff,arrangeschool visitsandworkwithcampusandUniversityofficestoprovideeffectiveinteractive programactivities.
+ RecruitandsuperviseCUNYstudentstoserveasVisitGuidesonCUNYcampuses.
+ Monitorandmaintainanonlineschedulingsystemthatwillallowschoolstoselecta visitdateandprovideallrelevantcontactinformation;followupwithschoolsas neededtoensureasuccessfulvisit.
+ Implement an orientation, training and ongoing professional and leadership developmentforVisitGuides.
+ Coordinatetheprogram’sadministrativeandoperationalactivities,including processing payroll for visit guides.
+ Under the supervision of the campus administrator, liaise with relevant college departments with regard to program logistics (space, student meals, workshop leaders,campussecurity,etc.).
+ Collectandretaindataforreportoutcomestorelevantcollegeleaders.
+ Maintainadatabaseofstaffandschoolinformation;documentandsubmittoCentral Officesummariesofvisitsandobservations.
+ ParticipateinUniversity-widemeetingsasneeded.
+ Supportrelatedadministrativefunctionsinthehostdepartment.
+ Assist with both College Now and Undergraduate Admissions initiatives related to campus tours and recruitment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required.

+ Bilingual,Spanish/Englishpreferred
+ Experienceevaluatingperformanceandanalyzingdata/metricspreferred
+ Experience working with middle school and high school students
+ Ability to performsuccessfullyinamulti-faceted,fast-paced,time-sensitive,and demanding student-focused and responsive operation serving both internal and externalconstituents
+ Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills to work and interact effectively, collaboratively, and cooperatively with a diverse community of students, faculty, staffandexternalconstituentsinalargecentralizedpublicuniversitysystem
+ Detailorientedwithstrongpresentationandgroupfacilitationskills
+ Computerproficiencyusingstandardofficesoftwareprograms/applications
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Provides basic operational and analytical support related to a College's specialized academic program.
- Supports the directors and managers with orientation preparation, student advisement regarding program requirements, and providing basic information about financial aid and registration
- Manages office records including faculty files; prepares reports and surveys; collects and maintains statistical data on program activities
- Serves as liaison to various College offices to provide service delivery and appropriate referrals to students
- Collects and reviews syllabi to ensure compliance with standards
- Serves as resource person for students and faculty regarding program policies and procedures
- May supervise office operations and/or monitor department budget
- Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary commensurate with education and experience **$51,781-$62,689.**
