Job Description
A large Supply Chain customer is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the integration and solution design efforts across its supply chain and transportation technology landscape. This role will be instrumental in designing scalable, future-ready solutions that connect vendor-supplied and custom-built applications, ensuring seamless interoperability across business functions such as warehousing, transportation, fulfillment, last mile, drayage, and parcel.
Key responsibilities include:
Architecting enterprise-wide solutions that enable efficient data flow and system integrations across Ryders supply chain technology ecosystem.
Defining technical requirements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technology with business objectives.
Leading integration efforts between Ryders internal platforms, customer systems, and third-party applications.
Designing cloud-based and hybrid architectures that support the clients evolving digital strategy.
Driving the adoption of best practices in API management, event-driven architectures, and data engineering to enhance system connectivity and operational intelligence.
Providing technical leadership to teams responsible for implementing security, infrastructure, and database solutions.
Partnering with stakeholders from IT, operations, and customer teams to ensure solution alignment with business goals.
Creating comprehensive solution roadmaps that support the clients growth and scalability in supply chain technology.
This role requires a strong understanding of both business operations and technical architecture, ensuring that solutions are not only technically sound but also drive real-world efficiency and value. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across multiple teams, from developers to executive leadership, and driving technology strategy in a fast-paced supply chain environment.

Skills and Requirements
10+ years of relevant experience in enterprise IT architecture, leading high-profile solution design initiatives.
Strong technical background with hands-on development/architecture experience across multiple tech stacks and cloud environments.
Proven experience working in the supply chain and logistics industry, with a deep understanding of technology supporting business operations (e.g., warehousing, transportation, fulfillment, last mile, drayage, and parcel).
Expertise in architecting solutions that integrate vendor-supplied applications and custom-built systems to support end-to-end business services.
Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and related supply chain platforms (e.g., Blue Yonder, MercuryGate, SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, or similar).
Deep knowledge of integration architecture, designing scalable and repeatable communication flows between internal and external systems.
Strong experience in API design, data flows, and event-driven architectures for seamless interoperability across supply chain applications.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, innovative technical solutions, ensuring alignment with operational and customer needs.
Leadership capabilities to guide teams in delivering secure, efficient, and high-performing solutions across infrastructure, security, and database management.
Strong documentation and technical writing skills for defining business requirements, architecture roadmaps, and integration frameworks.
Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and drive alignment between business and technology teams.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives across various supply chain domains, prioritize effectively, and adapt to evolving business needs. null
