    Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

The Amazon Energy Portfolio Operations (EPO) team manages supply contracts post execution, provides controllership and governance of energy spend, tracks environmental attributes and ensures our energy supply portfolio is compliant with external regulations, contract obligations as well as internal policies. You will be a part of the team responsible for managing the world’s largest portfolio of corporate renewable energy contracts.

We are looking for an individual to join our Operational Excellence (OpXL) team and enhance our programs, including onboarding new energy projects and contracts, overseeing data connectivity management, analyzing and reporting renewable energy project performance, and tracking key contractual metrics and obligations. The right candidate can manage multiple projects simultaneously, has an analytical skill set, experience with business process improvement, prior understanding of Power Purchase Agreements and Energy Supply Agreements, and experience defining and reporting metrics in BI tools.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Support oversight of energy agreements and renewable power purchase agreements globally.

    • Support the on-boarding process for energy contracts across different geographies with a large number of counterparties and internal stakeholders. Track progress and drive for successful completion.

    • Support data connectivity activities, including oversight of vendors and service providers, planning and scheduling activities, commercial issue resolution, and overall management of data connections.

    • Report and analyze portfolio performance in collaboration with other teams, identifying impacts to our business units and our customers.

    • Support the management of the contractual obligations with counterparties.

    • Plan and drive execution of initiatives to improve our energy operations. Continuously seek to invent and simplify in order to achieve further scale effect for Amazon’s management of its energy portfolio.

    • Work collaboratively with other AWS and Amazon teams to support the management of the energy programs.

    • Consolidate portfolio reporting KPIs to help define program goals and use metrics to draw business insights.
