ZoomCare is seeking a **Medical Assistant - Centralized Support Team** to join our team! **The Medical Assistant (MA) - Centralized Support Team is responsible for ensuring a smooth patient experience by managing prescription refills, medication prior authorizations, addressing patient calls, and responding to inquiries through ZoomCare’s secure online medical portal. The MA will work closely with a collaborative team to deliver prompt, accurate, and efficient care to patients.**
SCHEDULE AND TRAINING
+ Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 4:00PM
+ Medical Assistant positions require you to attend 2-3 weeks of training. The first week will be at our training location in Bellevue and partially remote. Weeks 2 and 3 will be fully remote.

+ **Assist in processing prescription refill requests, ensuring patients receive the necessary medications in a timely manner and coordinating with prescribing clinicians as needed.**
+ **Support the process of obtaining medication prior authorizations by working with insurance providers and facilitating communication between patients, providers, and pharmacies.**
+ **Answer and triage incoming patient calls, providing guidance on prescription refills, care instructions, and general inquiries while directing more urgent matters to the appropriate clinical staff.**
+ **Manage patient requests submitted through ZoomCare's secure medical portal, addressing non-urgent concerns such as appointment scheduling, prescription refills, and medication inquiries.**
+ **Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinical staff to ensure accurate medication management and help resolve any issues related to prescriptions or patient care.**
+ **Provide patients with clear instructions and helpful information regarding medications, health management, and ZoomCare services to ensure they feel informed and supported.**
+ **Maintain accurate records of all patient interactions, ensuring proper documentation in compliance with ZoomCare's policies and regulations.**
+ **Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and ZoomCare’s standards for privacy, confidentiality, and quality care.**
+ Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
+ **High school diploma or GED equivalent.**
+ **Current licensure/certification as a; Certified Medical Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, National Certified Medical Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant Certification.**
+ **1+ years of experience in a medical assistant role, ideally in a telehealth, outpatient, or clinical setting.**
+ **Familiarity with prescription refills, medication prior authorizations, and general administrative tasks in healthcare.**
+ **Strong phone and online communication skills with the ability to address patient concerns in a professional, compassionate manner.**
+ **Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and online patient portals.**
+ **Proficient in Adobe, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Slack or related software and an ability to quickly learn new technology systems.**
+ **Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a virtual environment.**
+ **Ability to work independently and as part of a team.**
+ **Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality standards.**
+ **Previous experience with insurance prior authorization processes, preferred.**
+ **Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.**
+ **Basic knowledge of clinical terminology and procedures.**
+ **Familiarity with common medical software and patient management systems.**

+ Hourly Pay rate: $25.00 - $33.00 DOE
