    Our product, Veritas, is a foundational service within Amazon security that discovers all the resources owned by Amazon and the interconnections between them. This knowledge is then used for several security initiatives like security reviews, threat modeling and detection, access control and incident response.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    Lead and grow a team of software engineers discovering data and infrastructure resources at a scale that's only seen at Amazon.

     

    Own the technical vision and architecture for this core product.

     

    Drive strategic technical decisions in partnership with senior leadership.

     

    Establish and maintain high standards for engineering excellence and operational performance.

     

    Collaborate across Amazon's ecosystem to deliver security solutions that scale with our business. Mentor and develop engineering talent while building a strong technical culture.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 3+ years of engineering team management experience

     

    - 7+ years of engineering experience

     

    - 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience

     

    - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

     

    - Experience partnering with product or program management teams

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

     

    - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
