Nightwing is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and lead the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components. This position requires technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for solving complex engineering problems, ensuring project timelines are met, and mentoring junior engineers to foster professional growth.

Required Skills:

+ HVAC Survey Experience

+ Strong proficiency in mechanical engineering principles, including kinematics, dynamics, and energy transfer.

+ Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo for 3D modeling and design.

+ Experience conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural and thermal performance evaluation.

+ Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

+ Proven track record of leading engineering projects from concept to implementation.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

+ Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Desired Skills:

+ Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics Software

+ Experience with Engineering Calculation Software such as Trane Trace or Carrier HAP

+ Understanding and experience with residential and/or commercial HVAC systems

+ AutoCAD Experience

+ Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques, including additive manufacturing.

+ Experience with lifecycle engineering processes, such as reliability and maintainability analysis.

+ Knowledge of mechanical systems in aerospace, automotive, or industrial applications.

+ Experience with Agile project management methodologies.

+ Proficiency in tools such as MATLAB or Python for data analysis and simulation.

+ Experience with thermal management systems and heat exchanger design is a plus.

Education Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field with a minimum of 6 years of experience, or

Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field with a minimum of 4 years of experience.

Clearance Requirement: Top Secret with poly
