The intern performs various technical and supportive tasks necessary to provide pharmacy services. The pharmacy intern works under supervision of the pharmacist and focuses on accurate medication preparation following established policy and procedures set forth by the Pharmacy Department. They understand the role of the pharmacist in verification of all preparations prior to dispensing to the patient care areas. The pharmacy intern established by the State Board of Pharmacy and holds an intern license from the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy accredited agency. The intern adheres to all regulations as established by the State Board of Pharmacy.
