    Position description

    The Division of General Internal Medicine & Health Services Research in the Department of Medicine, Medicine Statistics Core (DOMStat), at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites applicants for an Adjunct faculty position at the Assistant or Associate rank. In this position, the primary responsibility will be to provide biomedical informatics and biostatistical collaboration to faculty in the Department of Medicine. Duties include working closely with biomedical collaborators in designing studies using large electronic health records (EHR) data, collaborating on extramural grant preparation, using statistical methods for the analysis of EHR data, teaching biomedical informatics to medical fellows and junior faculty and presenting study results in manuscripts. Effective collaboration with medical researchers is of major importance. Emphasis will be placed on applicants with a track record of collaboration. Candidate will be expected to teach one course per year.

     

    The candidate must have a Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, biomedical informatics or other relevant disciplines involving quantitative analysis of large datasets; at least one year of post-graduate experience in providing quantitative consultation for medical research; experience in assisting with grant preparation; experience with collaboration on data analysis and publication of medical research articles.

    Qualifications

    Basic qualifications
