Job Overview

RWJBH/Rutgers Health is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Urology NP or PA to join our outpatient team. The Advanced Practice Provider will join our urologists who specialize in treating a variety of urologic conditions. The chosen candidate will play an instrumental role in assisting our urologists, providing direct patient care, and ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients.

Job Qualifications

+ Current NJ APN/PA license required

+ CDS required

+ DEA required

+ MSN or DNP required

+ BLS required

+ ACLS required

+ Candidate should possess effective time management and patient care skills,

+ Must be able to adapt and adjust to a large volume of patient population,

+ Must be able to assess and address patient concerns in a clear and concise manner,

+ Spanish or another language is a plus.

+ Must be able to work collegially with multiple urology attendings

+ 2 years of surgery experience preferred as an RN or APP

Scheduling Requirements:

+ Full Time - four days a week

+ Day Shift

Essential Functions:

The Urology Advanced Practice Provider in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a collaborating physician will:

+ Manage and evaluate urology patients in an outpatient setting.

+ Assists urologists in procedures, as well as independently performs office procedures making a direct impact on patient outcomes.

+ Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to provide top-tier care.

+ Prescribes medications for patients with urinary tract issues

+ Offers telehealth visits to patients.

+ Collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive care.

+ Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in urology to bring the best practices to your patients.

This position includes approximately 20 patients per day including new consults and follow-ups.
