    Description

    We are looking for an Asset Manager experienced in the real estate and/or property management industry to join our team in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in managing, maintaining, and finding efficiencies of a residential multi-family property portfolio. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your operational expertise and contribute to the success of our operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and oversee the fixed asset ledger, ensuring accurate capitalization and depreciation calculations.

    • Reconcile fixed asset accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

    • Collaborate with property managers to manage fixed asset records for residential multi-family properties.

    • Prepare detailed reports and analyses on fixed assets for management review.

    • Assist in the preparation and review of budgets related to fixed asset expenditures.

    • Utilize accounting software, including Yardi, to streamline asset management processes.

    • Support audits by providing accurate documentation and responding to inquiries regarding fixed assets.

    • Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies in all fixed asset processes.

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in asset management.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience of success in real estate or property management indusrty.

    • Proficiency in accounting software systems, particularly Yardi.

    • Strong understanding of accrual accounting, capitalization, and depreciation principles.

    • Experience working in residential multi-family property management is highly desirable.

    • Familiarity with industry trends, efficiencies, and best practices

    • Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze financial reports related to fixed assets.

    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
