• Data Migration & Automation Specialist

    Description

    Our client in Cottage Grove, WI is seeking a Data Migration & Automation Specialist for a contract role reporting directly to the Web Development Manager. This role will focus on automating JSON data migration processes, facilitating batch data transfers to AWS and new hosting environments, and supporting the successful and timely completion of key web and data infrastructure initiatives.

     

    This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, experienced with scripting in Python, and has a track record of delivering complex technical work on (or ahead of) schedule.

    Requirements

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Develop and test Python scripts to automate the migration of JSON data.

    + Submit weekly technical reports detailing the progress of data migrations and any identified issues.

    + Support batch processing and data delivery to AWS cloud environments and updated website hosting platforms.

    + Collaborate with internal development and infrastructure teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of data migrations.

    + Deliver project milestones ahead of schedule while maintaining high quality standards.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    + Proficient in Python, especially for scripting and data manipulation tasks.

    + Experience working with JSON data formats and data transformation pipelines.

    + Familiarity with AWS environments and cloud-based hosting platforms.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to document and communicate technical issues clearly.

    + Proven ability to manage timelines and deliverables independently.

    + Previous experience in e-commerce, web hosting migrations, or large data transfers.

    + Familiarity with CI/CD or automation tools related to cloud infrastructure.
