Description

Our client in Middleton, WI, a leading Managed Services Provider supporting clients across the U.S., is seeking a Technical Project Coordinator for an onsite contract role. This hands-on position serves as the technical backbone of the project support team—working closely with Field Engineers in real time as they travel to various client locations.

You’ll operate in a hybrid role between Help Desk support and Project Coordination, helping engineers troubleshoot hardware installations, data systems, POS devices, VoIP, cabling, telecom setups, and security systems. This is a critical role for someone who thrives on multitasking, problem-solving, and staying calm under pressure while supporting techs in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide real-time support and troubleshooting to Field Engineers during client site deployments.

+ Coordinate technical project details, equipment readiness, and documentation for remote installations.

+ Assist with diagnostics and problem resolution for telecom, VoIP, POS, cabling, and data/security systems.

+ Act as a liaison between the engineering team and internal/external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

+ Track project progress, maintain issue logs, and ensure timely follow-up on unresolved items.

+ Support post-installation quality checks and assist with remote system configurations where needed.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

+ Experience in a technical support, IT help desk, or network technician role.

+ Understanding of structured cabling, VoIP systems, POS terminals, and network/security hardware.

+ Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to guide others through remote fixes.

+ Exceptional communication and coordination skills.

+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment supporting national field deployments.

+ Ability to read/interpret technical documentation or diagrams is a plus.
