Description

Our client is in search of a Project Cost Accountant to join their team in the Real Estate & Property industry, located in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for managing the financial aspects of multiple projects, maintaining cost subledgers, and ensuring the smooth running of project budgets.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the financial management of diverse projects, from pre-development through construction

• Collaborating with asset managers, property accountants, and team members to achieve project goals

• Assisting in the creation and handling of project budgets to ensure financial efficiency

• Maintaining and reconciling project cost subledgers with property accounting ledgers

• Managing vendor contracts and invoice processing, coordinating with third-party property accountants for prompt invoice payments

• Conducting monthly cash availability analyses across all properties

• Preparing and submitting loan draw request packages to lenders

• Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for lenders and investors

Requirements

• Bachelors in Accounting is preferred

• Minimum of 2 years experience in construction project job costing is required

• Prior experience in commercial construction projects is a +

• Experience in managing construction loans.

• Ability to manage and handle project budgets effectively.

• Experience in Cash Management

• Knowledge of Lien Waivers is essential

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required
