Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and supporting our accounting operations. Responsibilities:
+ Execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounts payable processes
+ Verify proper coding, receipts, and approvals of invoices per organizational policies
+ Monitor and manage invoice processing to ensure timely payments
+ Handle staff reimbursement processing
+ Maintain and update vendor records and files
+ Contribute to accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
+ Assist in preparing financial statements
+ Help produce financial management reports, including budget and cash flow reports
+ Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment-related issues
+ Ensure spending aligns with grant and contract compliance requirements
+ Support reconciliation of revenue and expenses
+ Assist with payroll processing and its integration into the general ledger
+ Organize and maintain files related to bookkeeping and Finance department operations
+ Aid in year-end closing activities and participate in annual fiscal audits
+ Support the issuance of 1099 forms for vendors
+ Assist in generating reports as needed
+ Perform additional finance-related duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
+ Associate’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative role
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
+ Familiarity with Intacct software is a plus
+ Strong administrative and organizational abilities
+ Skilled in time management to balance routine tasks with urgent issues
+ Capable of prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines
+ Able to work both independently and collaboratively
