• Part-Time UI Developer

    Description

    Robert Half's marketing & creative client is looking for a part-time React UI Developer for a 6+ month contract in the Greater Boston area. This is a remote, 40-hour-per-week opportunity; candidates must be able to work eastern (ET) hours. The UI Developer will assist in updating the user interface of a customer-facing platform. Interested candidates should submit a portfolio or code repository in addition to resume.

    Responsibilities:

    + Build and enhance advanced React components for platform with a focus on usability and modern design standards

    + Collaborate with product managers, developers, and end-users to refine workflows and optimize platform navigation

    + Implement UI updates based on data analysis, user feedback, and SaaS design best practices

    + Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design changes

    + Ensure mobile responsiveness and accessibility compliance

    + Conduct usability testing, A/B testing, and user behavior analysis

    + Utilize front-end skills including CSS, Sass/SCSS, and Material UI

    + Lead UI/UX improvements

    Requirements

    + Degree in UX/UI design, development, or similar

    + Strong React skills including async/await, context, and hooks.

    + Skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Material UI

    + Portfolio or code repository, demonstrating relevant experience

    + Experience with version control tools (Git, BitBucket) and agile methodologies (JIRA)

    + Familiarity with REST APIs and WebSocket integration

    + Experience with Adobe ColdFusion preferred

    + Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker or similar) a plus

    + Excellent communication and collaboration skills

    + Prior experience in fintech is a plus

    + Self-starter

    + Detail-oriented
