    Job Opportunity: Accounts Receivable Clerk

     

    Pay Range: $19 - $21 hourly

     

    Are you a detail-oriented professional with excellent organizational skills and a knack for numbers? Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk for an ongoing opportunity in the Buffalo area. This role offers a pay range of $19 to $21 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, and provides the chance to work in a collaborative and supportive environment with opportunities for long-term growth.

    Responsibilities:

    + Invoice Management: Prepare, process, and send invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    + Payment Processing: Post customer payments to the correct accounts and maintain accurate payment records.

    + Collections Support: Follow up on outstanding accounts, contact clients to resolve overdue invoices, and facilitate payment arrangements as needed (Source: MC24 Job Search Guide US eBook.pdf).

    + Account Reconciliation: Reconcile discrepancies in accounts, investigate variances, and resolve billing and payment issues promptly.

    + Accurate Recordkeeping: Maintain up-to-date and organized accounts receivable files, reports, and documentation in compliance with company policies.

    + Customer Service: Respond to internal and external inquiries about billing and account details in a professional and friendly manner.

    + Process Improvement: Assist in identifying opportunities to optimize the accounts receivable process to improve efficiency and accuracy.

    Requirements

    + A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate degree in accounting or related field is preferred.

    + 1+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting is preferred (Source: Find a Great Mentor with These 7 Tips).

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas).

    + Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems) is highly desirable.

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping.

    + Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with customers and team members.

    + Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
