    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Tustin, California. This is a position within the non-profit sector, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while advancing your accounting career. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing accounts, reconciling financial records, and contributing to month-end close processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure accurate and timely processing.

    • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

    • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is accurate and properly documented.

    • Prepare and post journal entries to support financial reporting requirements.

    • Assist with month-end close activities, including account analysis and financial statement preparation.

    • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to manage financial operations.

    • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

    • Identify areas for process improvements and contribute to their implementation.

     

    Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

     

    • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.

    • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and supporting month-end close activities.

    • Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies.

    • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
