    Test position responsible for interacting with our customers to develop a testing strategy to accomplish small and large component testing.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    + Responsible for execution of laboratory testing, inspection and data acquisition for use in validation of products and services. Responsible for design and construction of test facilities, instrumentation systems and the development of test software.

    + Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.

    + Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

    + May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

    + A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

    + Responsible for all testing aspects from initial discussions with engineering to data system and test rig assembly. Communication about data and closing of test in eTOS once the test has completed.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, OR five years experience in a Mechanical Test Environment.

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of Engineering/Technology & Testing.

    Desired Characteristics

    + Experience with high pressure hydraulics in a test environment.

    + Experience with Toolbox and pitch systems.

    + Qualified rigger with current certification.

    + MTS Controls Software experience.

    + Experience with large structures and maintenance of same.

    + Experience with maintaining complex hydraulic infrastructure and LOTO for those systems.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan and execute test programs.

    + Instrumentation experience to include strain gage installation and checkout.

    + Strong teamwork capability with focus on sharing knowledge among team members.

    + 5 years experience in a mechanical test lab environment.

     

    _If contracted in the US:_

     

    _The base pay range for this position is $79,400.00 - 100,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. This posting is expected to close on 5/8/2025._

     

    _*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas._
