Description We are seeking a dedicated NOC Technician to join our team. The primary function of this role is in the technology industry, and it is based in Somerset, New Jersey. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, making it an excellent choice for those seeking stability and growth in their detail-oriented journey.
Responsibilities:
• Execute the extension of circuits from the demarcation point to client’s equipment, and actively participate in conference calls to troubleshoot and confirm connectivity.
• Undertake network cable installations using patch panels and label standards, including copper and MM/SM fiber.
• Troubleshoot and address network issues utilizing cable analyzers such as Fluke.
• Carry out the triage and decommissioning of servers/network equipment.
• Configure ILO settings on new production servers, switch ports, and VLANs.
• Manage the storage of decommissioned blade servers, including labeling and recording information.
• Oversee the equipment installation group, supervising device installs and cable runs.
• Implement new patch panel infrastructure needs and placement.
• Be responsible for virtual database population of devices and connections.
• Process and resolve troubleshooting and installation requests via the ticketing system.

• Proven experience as a NOC technician.
• Proficiency in using network management systems and tools.
• In-depth understanding of network protocols, firewall configuration, and resolution of common network issues.
• Demonstrable skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team collaboration and client interaction.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as NOC operations run 24/7.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or similar would be advantageous.
• Strong commitment to maintaining high levels of customer service and working ethically.
