    Robert Half is seeking a skilled Contract Freelance WordPress Developer to support our client's web development initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites that align with business objectives and deliver engaging user experiences. This contract opportunity is ideal for a creative, self-motivated developer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver high-quality work independently.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Website Development: Design, develop, and maintain responsive WordPress websites, themes, and plugins based on project requirements.

    + Customization: Customize existing themes and plugins or develop new functionality using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

    + Content Management: Work with marketing or content teams to update and optimize web content using WordPress CMS.

    + Performance Optimization: Optimize websites for speed, SEO, mobile responsiveness, and user experience.

    + Bug Fixing & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to performance, functionality, or compatibility across different devices and browsers.

    + Security & Maintenance: Ensure site security and perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance tasks.

    + Collaboration: Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and deliver projects on time.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Proven experience developing and managing WordPress websites in a freelance or agency environment.

    + Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.

    + Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development/customization.

    + Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and SEO best practices.

    + Familiarity with page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery), WooCommerce, and third-party integrations.

    + Knowledge of Git or other version control systems is a plus.

    + Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

    + Excellent communication skills and ability to manage deadlines in a remote setting.
