Description

We’re hiring a Desktop Engineer to join a growing and collaborative IT team based in Beloit, WI. In this role, you’ll handle advanced end-user support tickets, lead and participate in technical projects, and work closely with the Server Administration team on cross-functional initiatives.

This is a great opportunity for someone who’s outgrown traditional helpdesk work and is ready for a more hands-on, systems-focused position with visibility across the IT organization.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Respond to and resolve escalated support tickets that require advanced troubleshooting.

+ Support and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and related technology in a Windows environment.

+ Lead or participate in special IT projects including system upgrades, hardware rollouts, and software deployments.

+ Collaborate with the Server Admin team on Active Directory, group policy, user provisioning, and infrastructure-related initiatives.

+ Maintain documentation, support procedures, and asset tracking as needed.

+ Help drive process improvements and contribute to a proactive support culture.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in desktop support or desktop engineering in a mid-sized or enterprise environment.

Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Office 365.

Experience with imaging, deployment tools, and hardware troubleshooting.

Familiarity with group policy, networked printers, and user permission management.

Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and document effectively.

Experience working on or alongside a server or infrastructure team.

Knowledge of SCCM, Intune, or other endpoint management tools.

Exposure to virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), basic networking, or Microsoft server environments.

Experience supporting users in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
