Description We are in search of an Inventory Clerk to become a part of our team in Island Pond, Vermont. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be tasked with managing inventory, maintaining records, and ensuring the accuracy of product information. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Handle the ordering of inventory from various suppliers and vendors, while monitoring shipment schedules

• Oversee the management of inventory, including stocking and cataloging of products

• Conduct regular quality checks on items in storage and dispose of any inventory not meeting set standards

• Regularly update inventory counts and maintain comprehensive records for management and other stakeholders

• Identify and report any inventory discrepancies that might signal theft

• Execute loss prevention strategies to deter theft

• Gather estimates and pricing details from different vendors for cost comparison

• Verify the accuracy of product information and assess new products. Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an inventory-related role is required

• Proficiency in clerical duties such as filing, record keeping, and data entry is essential

• Must be adept at using Microsoft Excel for managing spreadsheets, analyzing data, and creating reports

• Demonstrated ability to ensure accuracy in managing and maintaining inventory records

• Experience in performing accounting entries, including adjustments and reconciliations, is preferred
