Description
We are looking for an experienced Loss Mitigation Analyst to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will evaluate delinquent real estate loans and implement strategies to reduce financial losses while maximizing revenue opportunities. This long-term contract position offers the chance to apply your expertise in loan collections, financial analysis, and customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. Responsibilities:
• Analyze delinquent real estate loans to determine effective loss mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement plans to resolve loan defaults, including foreclosure alternatives.
• Communicate with borrowers to negotiate payment solutions and address financial challenges.
• Collaborate with internal teams to protect the financial interests of the Bank and/or Investors.
• Monitor loan portfolios and identify trends to proactively mitigate risks.
• Prepare detailed reports on loan statuses and resolutions for management review.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies in all loss mitigation activities.
• Utilize accounting software systems to track and manage loan collections.
• Respond to inbound calls from borrowers, addressing concerns and negotiating solutions.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and optimize recovery outcomes.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, loan collection, loss mitigation, or mortgage lending.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience in a high-volume setting.
• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage loans, defaults, and collection practices.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to effectively manage challenging customer interactions and resolve issues tactfully.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems and collection processes.
