Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Director of Billing and Collections Services to lead and oversee critical financial operations in our Richmond, Virginia office. This role involves managing the firm's cash conversion processes, including billing, collections, accounts receivable, and client intake evaluations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial systems, collections strategies, and policy development to ensure the firm's financial health and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the management of the firm's cash conversion cycle, including client intake, credit reviews, and alternative fee arrangement evaluations.

• Oversee billing operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies.

• Monitor and manage accounts receivable, with a focus on reducing outstanding balances and improving collections processes.

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency of financial operations.

• Analyze and report on unbilled and billed accounts, providing actionable insights for financial planning.

• Supervise cash application processes to ensure timely and accurate allocation of payments.

• Collaborate with internal teams to support the development and optimization of financial systems.

• Identify and address issues related to write-offs and write-downs to maintain financial integrity.

• Provide leadership and direction to the billing and collections team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all billing and collections activities. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing, collections, or related financial management roles.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including 3M and ADP Financial Services.

• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, cash applications, and B2B collections processes.

• Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools to support client interactions.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and develop actionable strategies.

• Familiarity with billing functions and cash activity processes in a detail-oriented services environment.

• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
