Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Controller to lead financial operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves optimizing processes, enhancing accuracy in reporting, and collaborating with the Controller to drive strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills while maintaining high standards of financial stewardship and operational efficiency. This role is based in the State College, PA area

Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller

• Supervise financial operations, ensuring adherence to established processes and compliance with regulations.

• Implement and maintain effective procedures to streamline the month-end closing process.

• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports that reflect the organization's fiscal health.

• Assist in long-term strategic planning and workforce development initiatives.

• Develop forecasts to evaluate and support the organization's financial stability.

• Enhance internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial laws.

• Collaborate with the Controller on accounting and auditing functions.

• Ensure financial practices align with industry standards and organizational goals.

• Support patient-centered service excellence through sound financial management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and CPA certification required.

• Minimum of five years of accounting experience with 3 + years in a leadership capacity.

• Expertise in public accounting or healthcare industry, including Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care principles preferred

• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities with a track record of achievement.
