    Description

    We are looking for a skilled and experienced Business Analyst III to join our team in Chicago, IL. In this senior-level role, you will collaborate with business units and technical teams to deliver IT solutions that align with strategic objectives and enhance operational efficiency. This is a long-term contract position, offering the opportunity to work on complex projects with occasional in-person meetings or workshops.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis

    + Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define business needs.

    + Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.

    2. Process Mapping & Documentation

    + Create AS-IS and TO-BE process maps, flowcharts, and diagrams.

    + Document both functional and non-functional requirements.

    + Translate business needs into user stories and specifications.

    + Update and maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

    3. Solution Design & Agile Implementation

    + Work with remote development teams to translate requirements into technical deliverables.

    + Lead Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Refinement Sessions.

    + Participate in UAT testing and prioritize backlog based on business value and urgency.

    4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

    + Act as a liaison between business and technology teams.

    + Facilitate workshops, presentations, and meetings to align requirements.

    + Ensure formal sign-off of requirements from business stakeholders.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field.

    + 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Skilled in process mapping and documentation tools.

    + Strong focus on data-driven decision-making.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work independently and lead initiatives with minimal supervision.

    + Experience in Agile methodologies and tools.

    + Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

     

    Preferred/Additional Experience

     

    + Familiarity with financial services, data-heavy environments, APIs, KYC/payment processes, or banking integrations.

    + Understanding of test planning and change management.
