Position: Senior Software Developer
Contract Type: Contract-to-Hire (CTH)
Start Date: May 12
Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $71–$89/hr
On-call: Rotation and occasional weekends as needed
Pre-Placement: Background Check Required
Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Software Developer to join a high-performing development team focused on supporting both legacy systems and building the future of a key enterprise platform. This role is perfect for a developer who thrives in a hybrid environment of maintaining robust Windows-based solutions while also shaping modern, scalable service-driven applications.
You’ll contribute to the evolution of a core system that serves as a critical integration hub across the business, influencing both architecture and implementation across multiple layers of the tech stack.
Key Responsibilities
+ Maintain and enhance legacy enterprise applications built with VB.NET and C#
+ Support and extend SOAP-based web services using .NET technologies
+ Work on modern web applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, SQL, and React
+ Build and manage serverless APIs in Microsoft Azure (C#, SQL)
+ Design scalable software components that are performant and maintainable
+ Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including developers, product owners, and SMEs
+ Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, bottlenecks, and bugs
+ Maintain clean, modular codebases and participate in code reviews
+ Create and update documentation, including technical specs and diagrams
+ Participate in an on-call support rotation and assist with incident response and communication
Requirements
Requirements & Experience
+ 8+ years of experience with .NET development (Framework 4.5.1 and newer)
+ Strong background with VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, and .NET Core
+ Skilled in SQL Server and T-SQL, including procedures and functions
+ Experience developing and consuming SOAP and RESTful APIs
+ Knowledge of Azure cloud services, especially Azure Functions and serverless architecture
+ Hands-on experience with Visual Studio (2019+) and SQL Server Management Studio
+ Understanding of layered architecture, domain-driven design, and MVC patterns
+ Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment workflows
+ Experience working with reusable frameworks and modular codebases
+ Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles
+ Strong documentation and technical communication skills
+ Previous experience working with Agile methodologies
+ Must be self-driven, collaborative, and detail-oriented
+ Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
+ Familiarity with Azure DevOps, App Insights, and virtual machine configuration
+ Experience with reporting tools like Crystal Reports or DevExpress
+ Background in travel, hospitality, or finance platforms is a plus
