GENERAL FUNCTION: Pearle Vision in Lakewood  The basic function of the Optical Retail Sales Associate is to sell eyeglasses and contact lenses to patients.  As an Optician, you will learn how to read eyeglasses and contact lens prescriptions, recommend proper eyewear to the patients, adjust and repair eyeglasses, learn how to diagnose any issues with eyeglasses and contact lenses, etc.   MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Drive profitable store sales by using effective retail sales skills. * Develop professional business relationships with our patients, other associates and the doctor. * Fill ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions, and fit and adapt lenses and frames * Ensure a quality patient experience through correct pricing, POS entry, and realistic delivery time quotes.   * Provide appropriate guidance to patients regarding vision insurance. * Other duties as assigned by Store Manager KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: * Ability to sell through use of sales skills and accountability for sales results. * Experience with sales, retail or customer service establishment. * Ability to provide enthusiastic and concise communication to meet/exceed patient expectations. * Attention to detail and follow-up * Experience with personal computers a must * Spanish a HUGE plus Other Details: On the job training will be provided.  The training will include one-on-one, audio and video training, and training manuals.  If you have a strong sales and/or customer service and/or retail background, we are willing to train you in the optical field.
