Summary:

Responsible for supplying loads to feeder and keeping all materials (chemicals, inks, skids, tools) to and from the presses in order to keep the presses running. Maintain housekeeping and 5S to standards set by management. Support the purpose of the team as stated in the "why" page by participating in initiatives and activities, and attending all meetings scheduled during shift. Additional job duties as assigned by department manager.

Safety:

Required - PPE must be worn while on your job. At a minimum safety glass, steel toe shoes and hearing protection. Gloves are always required on the production floor and warehouses. Please see Appendix A and Appendix B (Conover Specific) attached to the WestRock Glove Policy (CompliantPro). Bump cap per company policy

Required - All safety policies and guidelines must be followed.

Training:

Training requirements for this position are maintained in the Training Module of Compliant Pro.

Compliance with all workplace rules, policies and procedures, i.e. SQF, safety, etc.

Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, hair nets, beard nets, steel toe shoes, cut resistant gloves, ear plugs, face shield, rubber gloves.

• Testing and Measuring Ability (General Math): Ability to use and read basic measurement devices, (calculator, tape measure, and ruler.) Learn to operate water meter - PH. Lift truck (fork-lift) certification and pallet jack operation. Operate side guide and double sheet detector. General mechanical aptitude. Pass Farnsworth Munsel-100 Hue Test.

• Written/Verbal Communications Skills: Must follow detailed instructions for training and quality.

• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

• Knowledge of Cartons: Perform quality checks on cartons being processed.

Expectations/Guidelines:

* Read and understand job jackets.

* Supply loads to feeder.

* Pull and stage printed loads for three machines.

* Park loads of delivery.

* Air board as needed.

* Supply coating when signaled by the press specialist.

* Move dumpster to compactor.

* Keep all materials (chemicals, inks, skids, tools) to and from the presses to keep the presses running.

* Break down cardboard boxes and remove.

* Sweep floor in printing area.

* Train and develop skills for progression to the next level.

Essential/Marginal Functions and Physical Requirements

Essential: Stand and walk. Push, pull, and park printed load. Insert load on feed end, pull from delivery. Walk to front of machine, drop skid on conveyor and park floor jack. Handling of printing plates and ink cases up and down 7-10 steps.

Marginal: Sweeping floor. Remove cardboard and trash from the area. Clean work area. Drive two motor (certification required). Air board. Clean/change coater chamber.
