Employee Benefits Administrative Assistant
**Salary Range** : $50,000 - $55,000 per year
**Benefits** : Comprehensive health coverage, generous vacation benefits, employer-funded annuity and pension plans
**Location** : Bayside, NY
**Shifts** : Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
**About the Role** :
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant for Employee Benefits to join our HR team. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth benefits administration, assisting employees with benefits-related inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. If you have a strong understanding of employee benefits programs and can handle sensitive information confidentially, we want to hear from you!
**Key Responsibilities** :
+ **Benefits Administration Support** : Manage and maintain employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
+ **Employee Benefits Inquiries** : Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding benefits-related questions, ensuring timely and helpful responses.
+ **Enrollment & Changes** : Process new enrollments, benefits changes, and terminations in accordance with company policies and deadlines.
+ **Documentation & Compliance** : Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefits records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA).
+ **Benefits Communication** : Distribute benefits materials to employees, including plan details, enrollment information, and any changes to benefits offerings.
+ **Claims Assistance** : Help employees resolve benefits-related claims issues by liaising with insurance providers or third-party administrators.
+ **Benefits Reporting** : Prepare reports on benefits utilization, enrollment, and other relevant metrics for internal use and compliance purposes.
+ **Payroll Coordination** : Work with payroll teams to ensure proper deductions for employee benefits and resolve any benefits-related payroll issues.
+ **Vendor Coordination** : Liaise with external vendors and insurance providers to ensure timely services and responses for employees.
+ **Records Management** : Organize and maintain physical and electronic benefits records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
+ **Employee Education** : Organize benefits orientation sessions or workshops to educate employees about available benefits programs.
+ **General Administrative Support** : Provide administrative assistance to the Benefits or HR team as needed, including preparing documents, scheduling meetings, and assisting with benefits open enrollment or other special projects.
